Kelly focuses on maximizing the profitability of surgery centers by managing, developing and training their business staff. She developed a business office procedures manual, regularly updated with billing and coding rules and regulations of the AMA and CMS. Kelly has helped successfully manage over 30 surgery centers across the U.S.—startups as well as re-developed centers. In the key area of human resources, she recruits, hires and trains new staff, and trains and evaluates existing staff. Kelly is the chief planner, organizer and host for the firm’s annual business office conference.
Previous positions include director or reimbursement for Amedisys, business office manager and coding specialist for HealthSouth Surgery Center in Baton Rouge, LA, and health services training coordinator for Cigna Healthcare. Kelly attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, and is a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders.
